Since 2013 and prior to co-founding IDP with Ken, Shannon worked at The Principals Funds Management where she developed business for 7 partner owned, boutique, active fund managers in the Australian and NZ marketplace.
She has worked across multiple asset classes including listed equities, credit, real estate and alternatives. During her time at Principals, Shannon contributed to growing client managers’ FUM, from the region, from AUD $4bn to AUD $15bn.
Shannon is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA) and a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). She holds a Masters of Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Communications and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.
Shannon is currently a Board Member of the Adelaide University Business School International Centre of Financial Services. Previously Shannon was an Executive Director and Chair of the Community and Engagement Committee at Wantirna Community Bank.
Shannon and her husband Jonathan have four children, who together enjoy camping and hiking.
